On 10th November 2014, Prof. Cantoni was guest speaker at the Web Star Day event with a topic on Online Reviews in the Hospitality sector.

iathInauguration of the International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality (IATH) (Como, Italy)
On 13th November 2014, collaborators dr. Nadzeya Kalbaska and dr. Silvia De Ascaniis participated in the inauguration of the IATH, an undergraduate learning program promoted by the Fondazione Istituto Tecnico Superiore del Turismo e dell’Ospitalità, which took place in Cernobbio (Como, Italy). team will teach a course on “System tools for hotel management” during Spring semester 2015. Besides the founders of the IATH, representatives of the Italian Ministry of Education and local political parties took part in the event.

SharmaSeminar on Eye-Tracking and Moocs @USI
On 13th November 2014, Mr Kshitij Sharma, a researcher from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), gave a seminar on the use of eye-tracking methods in research. The seminar was composed of two parts: first, a usability study with the eye-tracking hardware was run on the Moodle platform used at USI, and then a talk was given on “The use of eye-tracking methods to analyze data from MOOCS. A focus on collaborative learning”.
