Our team at ENTER2016 eTourism Conference (Bilbao, Spain)

Our team has been intensely involved in the organization of the ENTER2016 eTourism conference in Bilbao (Spain) at the beginning of February 2016.

The conference has been organized by IFITT – International Federation for IT and Travel and Tourism, led by Prof. Lorenzo Cantoni (President) and Dr. Nadzeya Kalbaska (General Secretary), while social media coverage of the event has been done by Emanuele Mele (Online Communications Officer).

We have presented the following research we were doing last year:

  • Asta Adukaite, Izak Van Zyl and Lorenzo Cantoni. The Role of ICT in Tourism Education: A Case Study of South African Secondary Schools. (Short paper)
  • Nadzeya Kalbaska, Tomasz Janowski, Elsa Estevez and Lorenzo Cantoni. E-Government relationships framework in the tourism domain. A first map. (Full paper)
  • Jingjing Lin, Nadzeya Kalbaska and Lorenzo Cantoni. How to Develop and Evaluate an eTourism MOOC: An Experience in Progress. (Short paper)
  • Elena Marchiori, Fabia Casnati and Lorenzo Cantoni. The Role of Destination in Hotels’ Online Communications: A Bottom-Up Approach. (Full paper)
  • Elena Marchiori, Canio Di Nardo, Marcello M. Mariani and Lorenzo Cantoni. The co-creation process of the online image of an Italian World Heritage Site: the Sassi of Matera. (Full paper)
  • Emanuele Mele, Silvia De Ascaniis and Lorenzo Cantoni. Localization of Three European National Tourism Offices’ Websites. An Exploratory Analysis. (Full paper)

A wonderful group of volunteers from the Master in International Tourism (USI), including Jan Evler, Jean-Raphael Gualandris, Anna Kristina Lindberg, Laura Raimundo, and Rosani Ilaria have made the event even more memorable one.
