Cross-field doctoral school and SSRE2013 conference

August, 19-21, researchers Nadzeya Kalbaska and Asta Adukaite have attended a residential seminar of the doctoral school CROSS-FIELD,  which is directed by prof. Lorenzo Cantoni in collaboration with prof. Pierre Dillenbourgh of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and prof. Dieter Euler of the Universität St.Gallen, and coordinated by Dr. Silvia De Ascaniis, post-doc researcher at The seminar addressed the subject of informal learning in tourism, and how digital technologies can help to support and promote it.

Two guest speakers have addressed the topic from different perspectives:
– prof. Annamaria Ajello, Università La Sapienza of Rome, Italy.
– prof. Ulrike Gretzel, University of Wollongong, Australia.

The seminar was organized in Ticino, Switzerland at the hotel located on the San Giorgio Mountain, natural World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO.

Right after the seminar, team has participated at the Annual Conference of the Swiss Society for Research in Education, which was devoted to the topic of integrating formal and informal learning.
