The course eTourism Technology Lab (Master in International Tourism at USI), taught by Dr. Elena Marchiori and supported by the student assistant Laura Raimundo just ended for this semester.
Students have been involved in several hands-on experiences of advanced eTourism applications through a specific project. Discover one of the practical outcomes of this class: an app regarding the urban trails in Lugano, Switzerland, which allowed students to discover the local territory through the use of technological tools for tourism promotion. Students used an app editor for eTourism trails develop by CICtourGUNE (Spain).
The project has been supported by Rotary Club Lugano, in collaboration with the City of Lugano, and it represents a successful case of community engagement, practical learning on eTourism applications for students, and a fruitful collaboration between eTourism research centers.
